It is difficult to say which of these treatments are better, as one person may have a better response to either formula. However, Jeuveau is a less expensive treatment option that has provided results similar to or better than Botox during clinical trials.
In general, results last anywhere from three to four months, but this can differ for each person depending on their treatment area and how quickly they metabolize the formula.
As of February 1, 2019, Jeuveau is approved by the FDA for use on glabellar lines (frown lines) after clinical trials proving its efficacy on over 650 trial participants.
Jeuveau is FDA-approved for use on glabellar lines, also known as frown lines, on the forehead. While it is considered safe for most people, anyone with active infections in the treatment area, allergies to products containing botulinum toxin, and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should consult Dr. Palmer before their procedure.
Jeuveau is not approved for medical use and is therefore not covered by most insurance companies. Possible payment plans can be discussed in more detail with your provider.
